Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is welcoming a new family medicine doctor to the health system’s First Physicians Group (FPG) network.
Caitlin Balno Barton, MD, will be accepting patients at the FPG Internal Medicine, Pediatrics and Family Medicine practice at Gulf Gate.
Dr. Balno Barton provides medical care and manages acute and chronic medical conditions, such as hyper-hypotension, obesity and diabetes, with a holistic approach to tailoring care and health recommendations for each patient. She performs annual wellness exams, as well as comprehensive and preventative screenings for individuals of all ages. She specializes in women’s health from adolescence to family planning to post menopause – including hormone replacement therapy and osteoporosis. She also performs numerous in-office procedures including joint injections for arthritis.
Dr. Balno Barton received her medical degree from Mercer University School of Medicine in Savannah, Georgia. She completed her family medicine residency at the Prisma Health University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia, South Carolina.
