Sarasota Memorial Welcomes New Interventional Cardiologist to FPG Venice Location

Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is welcoming a new interventional cardiologist to the health system’s First Physicians Group (FPG) network.

Yenal Harper, MD, is now accepting patients at FPG’s Interventional and Diagnostic Cardiology Venice office.

Dr. Harper is board certified and fellowship trained in Internal Medicine – Cardiovascular Disease, Interventional Cardiology and Cardiac Imaging. His practice includes complex coronary interventions with extensive expertise in atherectomy devices and hemodynamic support assisted interventions.  Dr. Harper also performs complex peripheral arterial interventions for critical limb ischemia with the intention of limb salvage. Dr. Harper is also experienced in the management of deep venous thrombosis, sub massive high risk pulmonary embolism with endovascular interventions including EKOS, INARI and Penumbra in addition to performing multiple renal denervation procedures.

Dr. Harper received his medical degree from the University of Jordan, Faculty of Medicine in Amman, Jordan. He completed his residency at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science at Chicago Medical School in Illinois. He completed a fellowship in cardiology at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis and a fellowship in interventional cardiology at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.
